I love my husband for the sake of Allah (SWT) and for some many other reasons. I know that he is truly a gift from Allah (SWT). I am so excited about our future, and I look forward to living the rest of my life with him. I also look forward to experiencing all the positive things mentioned in this article, things that can be obtained in an Islamic marriage when both parties realize and accept their roles, and conduct themselves according to the teachings of of Allah (SWT), His Messenger (PBUH) and the Sunnah. The rewards are endless.

I appreciate your comment, and may Allah swt guide your wife to find the beauty and reward for wearing hijab in response to Allah”s request. I would ask you to share several of the articles listed under the category hijab and find the strength of the women who have chosen it. Basically, when I became muslim i did so with the full understanding of what Islam was = submission to the will of God Almighty. This meant that I accepted everything in the Quran as my guidance. And therefore, naturally it leads one to say ok, Allah required us to wear hijab therefore this is an obligation to do… and Allah knows what is best for us. May Allah give her guidance and support from other good sisters.

The fatwa regarding a woman covering or not covering depends upon the school of thought followed. There are four Madhabs, Hanafi, Shafii, Hanballi and Maliki. While the basic tenents of Islam are the same for all schools there are minor differences of interpretation for certain issues and the awra of a woman is one of them. All schools follow that a woman should be covered in loose solid color clothing which does not define her shape. All schools follow that this coverage includes her hair, neck, arms to the hands and and feet. This allows the face and hands to remain shown. However due to some difference of opinion regarding the meaning of ayas in the Quran regarding the drawing of material from the womans head to cover the jayubihum (neck slit) some schools say the face should be covered. There is a hadith which states specifically that the face and hands are seen: Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu’minin: Asma, daughter of AbuBakr, entered upon the Apostle of Allah () wearing thin clothes. The Apostle of Allah () turned his attention from her. He said: O Asma’, when a woman reaches the age of menstruation, it does not suit her that she displays her parts of body except this and this, and he pointed to her face and hands. (Narrated by Abu Dawood # 4092).

This Hadith has three authentic narrations and was correct by all Major Hadith scholars such as Albani.

As Salam Walaikum,

Hijab is Grace. I am in such arguments since a few weeks, however i realised one thing, No one but only a female can understand the Grace, importance and beauty of hijab (Covering oneself) its just that few females deny it. But deep inside they themselves know the ans rest everything is just for argument sake.

One more thing, i am married to a new muslim, she is Good to wear Hijab for me but she is not convinced with the logic behind it. Help me with more logic…… God Bless You All.

I appreciate your points and yes I also often question statements made by WHO depending upon its support. Without any documentation, common sense tells us that any kind of smoking is not good for our health and it is a very social activity which makes it very difficult to stop.

This is wrong.. in my humble opinion. I am not one to give a fatwa, and this should be asked of a sheikh and more than one doctor. If you have common sense enough to write this question you have enough mental capability to pray. And in fact the process of making wudu, in order and then praying five times a day and being close to Allah may positively help you in dealing with your OCD.

Subhanallah this is one of the hardest things we have to deal with as parents. Christmas, Halloween, Easter etc..The first thing I would suggest that you see if you can move schools. If not then talk with the teachers and administration. If this is a normal school they should not be discussing such religious topics. If it is a Catholic type of school then this is the choice you knew would come and you need to see what are your priorities. If you feel it is affecting your son to this extent I would really move him. If he was older and can distinguish between what we believe and what they believe then you can actually use this situation as a spring board for discussion and education all the way around. Get out the Quran and show him where God said that Jesus is just a prophet.. there are many places such as Iklhas also. You can also research online some reliable sites such as Islam Q and A where maybe you can find some references from their own bible which show that actually Jesus said it is not of me but of the father meaning God. There are places where he said I am but a man! Most of all be a great example to him and when Eid comes make it wooowww! Make special games, a bit party, special gifts, — we always played a treasure hunt or scavenger hunt where we place clue after clue and they have to search the clues until they find their gift. Let them feel so happy so that they do not have a reason to be jealous of others holidays. and point out we have three and four days in our holiday not just one. Another way is to show them how actually they are worshiping a man not a God because in the bible itself the person on the cross said oh my Lord why have you forsaken me. God Almighty never forsake any of his messengers or prophets so how about a “so called son”. It cannot be true.

Dua is also a powerful tool and always ask Allah to guide and support your words to touch his heart.

my five year old son goes to reception and since its the time of year for christmas plays,he has be taught that jesus is the son of god,i have explained to my son that its wrong and what it is but he still seems to carry on saying that.its doing my head in now as he keeps repeating it.iv threatened to take him out of school…..im going crazy here help….

i’ve been felt depressed for years..but after i read al Quran (again ) it felt like recharges my anti-stress,im feeling glad after read the Quran. Insya Allah.
