Satalite Proves a Hadith of Prophet Mohammed

September 9, 2008

This is an amazing report where a hadith from the Prophet Mohammed pbuh 1400 some years ago gave instructions for a masjid to be built in a certain position in Sinai, and now, with the use of satalite, we can see that the masjid was actually built as he instructed and the reason it was built in that way was so that the qibla or direction of the prayers would align the worshipers to prayer as all muslims do facing towards Mecca.  Again this is to give unity to all Muslim and there is not any item of worship within the Kabba or in Mecca.  Neither is the black stone an item to be worshiped as the only one to be worshiped is God almighty, Allah in Arabic language, the One True God who rules the universe and whose devotion we should give.  If one contemplates this video only the truth of Islam can be proven.

SOMETIMES I WORRY….

September 9, 2008

Sometimes I Worry!
Is there a magic cutoff period when offspring become accountable for their own actions?

Is there a wonderful moment when parents can become detached spectators in
the lives of their children and shrug, “It’s their life,” and feel nothing?

When I was in my twenties, I stood in a hospital corridor waiting for doctors to put a few
stitches in my son’s head. I asked, “When do you stop worrying?”

The nurse said, “When they get out of the accident stage.” My mother just smiled faintly and said nothing.

When I was in my thirties, I sat on a little chair in a classroom and heard how one of my
children talked incessantly, disrupted the class, and was headed for a career making license plates.

As if to read my mind, a teacher said, “Don’t worry, they all go through this stage and then you can sit back, relax and enjoy them.

“My mother just smiled faintly and said nothing.

When I was in my forties, I spent a lifetime waiting for the phone to ring, the cars to come home, the front door to open. A friend said, “They’re trying to find themselves. Don’t worry, in a few years, you can stop worrying.
They’ll be adults.” My mother just smiled faintly and said nothing.

By the time I was 50, I was sick & tired of being vulnerable. I was still worrying over my children, but there was a new wrinkle. There was nothing I could do about it.

My mother just smiled faintly and said nothing.

I continued to anguish over their failures, be tormented by their frustrations and absorbed in their disappointments.

My friends said that when my kids got married I could stop worrying and lead my own life.

I wanted to believe that, but I was haunted by my mother’s warm smile and her occasional, “You look pale. Are you all right?
Call me the minute you get home. Are you depressed about something?”

Can it be that parents are sentenced to a lifetime of worry?

Is concern for one another handed down like a torch to blaze the trail of human frailties and the fears of the unknown?

Is concern a curse or is it a virtue that elevates us to the highest form of life?

One of my children became quite irritable recently, saying to me,

Where were you? I’ve been calling for 3 days, and no one answered I was Worried.”
I smiled a warm smile.
  The torch has been passed.

THE ROAD TO HIJAB

THE ROAD TO HIJAB
By Tara Gregory

I want to share my story about my journey to wear hijab in the hopes that some aspiring sister will glean strength from it, insha’allah. Sisters, you can do it! Just keep in mind that
you need to please Allah (swt) before you please anybody. Shaitan is whispering in your ears and trying to keep you away from doing something that makes Allah (swt) happy. Don’
listen to him, because if you do you will be obeying him and this could make Allah (swt) angry. Shaitan is promising you good things if only you keep away from hijab. Really he is
deceiving you because he knows once you follow him he has fullfilled his promise he made to Allah (swt) to mislead others. Don’t let Shaitan make you one of his soldiers! Decline
his invitation to spend eternity in the hellfire! Instead, race to Jannah (heaven) sisters….and let hijab be one of your steps towards the finish line!

Practical Ways To Benefit From Ramadhaan

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficient, the Most Merciful

May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, his Companions and his family members and all those who follow them until the Last Day.

The following post is based on the notes from the lecture of Br. Mus tafa George that he gave Saturday Aug. 16th at Masjid Rahmah, Newark NJ . The topic of the lecture was “How to Benefit from Ramadhaan Practically”

Practically benefitting from Ramadhaan should be divided into 2 Categories:

Goals and Preparations

Each person should make goals that he wants to achieve in the month of Ramadhaan. The following are just examples and they should be modified according to the person’s abilities and circumstances.

Here are some examples:

1) I want to finish the Qur’aan from cover to cover 1 time, or 2 times, or 5 times, etc.

2) I want to start Riyaad us-Saaliheen with my family, or I want to start teaching my family from Kitaab at-Tawheed or other beneficial books.

3) For the sister – I want to fix that which is between me and my sister.
